Any boy between 11 and 18 can join the Boy Scouts. Just contact any Boy Scout, ScoutMaster, Scout parent or the School to get information on joining. You can also contact the Tidewater Council's office or just come to one of our meetings and introduce yourself. That's all it takes to get on the road to ADVENTURE AND FUN!
The Boy Scouts are dedicated to making each boy a stronger individual. We build character, responsibility, self-reliance and the ability to work in a team environment. You will learn to be at home in the woods, on mountains and in your own neighborhood. We camp eight to ten times a year in addition to our annual trip to summer camp for a week. In the past we have visited Woodruff Scout Reservation in Georgia, Shenandoah Scout Camp, Powatan Scout reservation and Pipsico. We've taken trips to Washington DC, toured the White House, Visited the FBI Academy and the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico VA, and celebrated the the anniversary of flight at Kitty Hawk, NC.
